Fatal head-on collision in Ball Ground

A Douglasville man was killed and another driver was severely injured on Highway 372 near Hogan Pond Lane in Ball Ground, at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

News outlets report that the man was pronounced dead at the scene after he crossed the center line and hit another car head-on, driven by Alexandra Johansen of Jasper.

She survived but was taken to North Fulton Hospital in critical condition with with multiple fractures, including her right tibia and fibula along with severe injuries to one of her feet.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
